The Farmer's Daughter

We found Dave Mockler right where he said he was, at a gas station with a restaurant next to it, just east of Sycow, Poland. We then drove down the road a ways to find 2XX sitting in a hay field that had just been plowed under. Yes, there was some mud. Needless to say that glider was not going anywhere without some major muscle the four of us did not have.

The scene had attracted the attention of a local photographer who said he knew the farmer and would ask if the farmer had a tractor we might use. A few minutes later a small tractor made its way into the field. On that tractor.was the farmer and his daughter. It was clear quickly that the daughter, Sara, came along to help, as she spoke English.

After some trial and error we hooked up to the CG hook and 2XX slowly moved the 300 yards or so to the trailer, and we put her away.  By this time there was a small crowd watching. We thanked the farmer and Sara and headed back to Leszno.
