End of the day

A strange day that turned out to be stronger than most expected, certainly stronger than was forecast, and was, according to all pilots, spotty--alternately weak and strong. Pete Alexander (98) recalled his co-pilot Rick Walter's mantra, to his benefit today: Keep the glider in the air, and something good will happen.
